We are now offering Invisalign Go

Get that straighter smile that you have always wanted – less time, less cost!

Invisalign Go is the brand new, clear braces system that can straighten your teeth in less time and at a much lower cost.

It is used to treat mild overcrowding of your teeth.

Here are some of the most frequently asked questions:

FAQs

How does it work?
Invisalign Go uses clear aligners to move your teeth into place in as little as 6 months, in comparison with 12 – 18 months required for original Invisalign.

What is the difference between Invisalign Go and traditional braces?
Invisalign Go uses clear, removable aligners to straighten your teeth whereas traditional braces use fixed metal wires and brackets. It’s a nearly invisible way to correct crooked and overcrowded teeth.

Can I go to any dentist for Invisalign Go treatment?
No, only dentists who have completed specialised Invisalign Go training are permitted to perform Invisalign Go treatments on patients.

Are there any restrictions on the foods and drinks I consume?
No, absolutely none! That’s why Invisalign Go is great; you can eat and drink as you normally would without any issues. All you have to do is remove your aligners before you eat and drink and you can enjoy all your usual treats! However, we do recommend to brush and floss after eating before you put your Invisalign Go clear braces back on.

What is tooth whitening?
Tooth whitening is a process known as oxidation. Any discolourations within the tooth will be lightened. Organic materials break down to remove staining and create a whiter brighter smile.

What causes my teeth to discolour?
There are many causes of tooth discolouration. Some of the most common include the consumption of highly coloured foods (berries) and drinks (coffee, tea, red wine). Antibiotics at a young age, ageing, smoking and trauma can also results in discolouration.

How long will it last?
Indefinitely. Just simply touch up your teeth a few times per year for one or two days or nights. Without a touch up, your teeth will start to restain by the same things that caused them to discolour in the first place.

Is the treatment safe?
Yes. Clinical studies have shown that bleaching with carbamide or hydrogen peroxide under the supervision of a dental professional is safe for teeth and gums.

What if I have restorations in my teeth, will these change colour?
Whitening will remove any existing stains on the restorations but will not affect the original shade.

What are the steps involved?
With Pola Day the whitening gel is placed in your custom tray which fits over your teeth. The whitening gel (either carbamide or hydorgen peroxide) is broken down and oxygen enters the enamel and dentin, and the stains are “dissolved”.

What are the side effects?
For the majority of patients, there are none. However, some will experience temporary sensitivity (dull or sharp, sensitivity to hot or cold). This will subside after several hours of ceasing treatment. If sensitivity is present, wear times can be shortened or made less frequent.

How long does it take?
Pola Day will take about 5 to 14 days by performing the treatment in the comfort of your own home. With either option, you achieve a whiter, younger looking smile.
