At your appointment, you will be welcomed by our friendly receptionist, in calm, relaxing environment.
Please look at the gallery, if you would like to look at the surgery in more detail.
At your first appointment, you will be asked to complete a short, confidential medical history form. A member of the team is always available if you need any help with this.
You will then meet your dentist who will discuss your needs in a calm, sympathetic manner.
Your dentist will then undertake a general examination of your mouth and may recommend that some X-rays are taken of your teeth.
Your dentist will also ask you about:
- Any concerns that you have and what treatment you would like
- Any specific problems e.g. pain , sensitivity, discoloured or misshapen teeth
- Your general health
Your dentist will:
- Look at your teeth and mouth and face
- Check for damaged teeth, gum disease, jaw problems, biting/chewing difficulties
- Check for early signs of disease e.g. mouth cancer
After your initial assessment, treatment options will be discussed with you and a treatment plan will be agreed with you, including the costs.
We normally recommend that our patients join our Practice Plan payment scheme as this has many advantages including reductions in general fees or you may choose “Pay as you Go”.
You can pay by cheque, card or by an agreed interest free payment plan, which can help spread any costs. Please see costs.
Felpham Dental is a preventative-based practice, which means that after any initial problems are sorted out, the need for further treatment will diminish thus saving you money.
We encourage you to keep your regular oral health appointments, including with our hygienist .
Relax,we are here to help and make you smile!
